What’s a good photography magazine?
I want one thаt offers lots οf tips fοr a beginning photographer, аnd thаt іѕ really helpful, bυt аlѕο one thаt inpires bу ѕhοwіng lots οf οthеr photos. I don’t really care fοr equipment reviews.
I’m looking іntο american photo οr well lονеd photography, bυt I’m open tο others.
Outdoor Photographer.
My current favorite is Digital Photo Pro.
I in person am subscribed to Well loved Photography and Outdoor Photographer, both fantastic magazines. I find that Well loved Photography is quite filled with equipment reviews, but it’s often got a lot of nice quick tips for beginners.
Outdoor Photographer usually has more technique oriented stuff, and doesn’t have many equipment reviews. You’ll find longer and more in depth articles in that one. I’d say I certainly get more inspired by OP.
There’s also British magazines to look into, if you don’t mind the (unfortunately high) prices. I delight in British photo magazines because for some reason they just seem to be filled with a lot more stuff-but, as I said, they’re much more expensive. .A subscription can easily cost $60 and up. I’ve bought a couple of Photography Monthly magazines, and I really loved them, but their issue themes are sometimes hit and miss, and there’s an entire section devoted to places to photograph in the U.K. which is quite useless to most American readers.
Hope that helps in some way.
well i like the light impession and the natioanal geographic.
I subscribe to Well loved Photography and Rangefinder. I like Well loved Photography because I like reading about what’s new in cameras and equipment, and they do have some tutorials and how-tos. Rangefinder is geared more toward the professional, but it also has some how-tos in it.
If you want to see the differences between Well loved Photography and American Photo, go to www.popphoto.com and you can check out both magazines there. American Photo seems more geared toward the Photograph and the Photographer and Well loved Photography seems more geared toward the gear involved and how-tos.
Excellent luck!
