I use a 12 inch and im 15 so you should stay with 12+. I have a descent size hand so honesty go with something like a 12.5in. The bats you can tell because they should say between Youth, High School, College (adult). . Also you can tell if its adult by its length to wieght ratio. A adult bat is normally -3. A example of this is 33in long and 30ounces. Also they are huge barrels.

id say about 11 and a half inches would be excellent for you. for a pitcher you dont need a large glove, just something to catch the ball when the catcher throws it back to you.

for a bat id say get a 32 inch bat that weighs 29 ounces, should be a excellent sized bat for someone who is just starting. if you are stronger then go for a 33 inch bat that weighs 30 ounces.
