What equipment do i need to recharge my home window air conditioner?
I hаνе аn air conditioner thаt needs a recharge οf freon аnd want tο know whаt equipment іѕ needed tο dο ѕο.
If it has never had freon place in it,as if you bought it new.it don’t need any,freon does not wear out.if it has a port valve ,you can get the freon and hose at Wal Mart,if it is freezing up on you you need to clean it
A lot of window units are built so they can’t be filled. No valve. Depending on the size, it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one.
Simpler and cheaper to buy a new unit.
if your qualified to make that determined choice, then you know what equipment is needed according to law.
chances are some idiot just told you “you need some freon” and you believed it.
Probably something else is not right, like a filthy condensor.
