Video Blogging entry of the Numark NS7 by DJ Esco

This is a quick run through on some of the the Numark NS7 Hardware features. I thought the unit was quite amazing due to its acuracy while playing with one at Guitar Center so I had to buy one and take it home. Keep in mind I am doing this because I felt guity for purchasing the only display Guitar Center had and realized that many lost the opertunity to see first hand what it does. So here is my tribute to Numark on another excellent product which brings an analog feel combined with a digital experience. =)

    sell me yours????

  • djesco075:

I fyou are using the NS7. You will not need a sound card. The drivers will install the one built into the NS7 and your audio output from ITCH will go out from the NS7

  • xxxRAZOxxx:

hi man nice video,,,,,, I need sound card to use it with my laptop ??????????

@JFPN44 the iDJ2 is great as a stand alone or with other devices. You can not really compare the two to each other. However keep in mind that the NS7 was designed to work with Serato and is potientialy more expandable by adding hardware such as the NSFX (and I suspect more will come both in the form of hardware and software). As you saw I personally have both if compact and simple (get the job done) is what you need then iDJ2. If you want to take over the world and more then NS7 ;)

  • JFPN44:

hey ahh im about to get a setup and i saw the vieo where you had the idj2 and the NS7. im new at this but have used the idj2 at bestbuy and it was easy to manage. the question is if i could only get one which one would it be? the NS7 or iDJ2. and if i can connect my ipod to the NS7 to do what you can with the iDJ2. Thanks

The fact that Numark and Serato took years into research before its deployment gives us the confidence to use it on any level. Proof would be the use at this years DMC.
I myself use it in various enviroments such as clubs, public events, parties etc… including studio recording. As far as forums and other users there are several out there (some you will find I am a member of myself)
(PM me I will give u links)
In short I love my NS7 and would definately recommend it to anyone.

The NS7 (In my opinon) has not only raised the bar but has remapped the digital word a whole new level by first catering to any level DJ offering the familiar controls to the CD generations as well as Vinyl and even Mp3 Computer controlled DJ genrations Not only making it not only a professional work of art but also an essential tool for todays modern DJ.

Hey I’m deciding if i want to go into the DJing industry and did a little research on setups, so one of my options right now is the numark NS7 which I’ve heard a LOT of good stuff about it and I was wondering if it was a good fit for a first time setup cuz even though its expensive it may give me a good bang for my buck in the long run. So ya give me your opinion on it plz and if u’ve got any tips for noobs or helpful sites plz be sure to mention em! :D

  • PWNstar14:

K, thanks anyways. Im about to start djing. Im just trying to get good info and see what kind of equipment i should get.

  • djesco075:

    I dont know honestly.

  • djesco075:

Numarks Virtual Vinyl is simular to Serato Scratch Live in the fact that it uses a hardware Interface/Decoder and Time coded records. in short the quality of the Analog to Digital system is very good and compliments well with Virtual DJ users who want a better feel and more control over their mixes or performances.

  • PWNstar14:

DJ Esco ,what r ur thoughts on virtual vinyl?

  • CVAOMS:

so is numark ns7 for limited time?

  • djesco075:

    Definately
you can mix any thing on it.

  • dvoc639:

ay dj esco can yooh mix techno gudd wiff thisz??

  • dvoc639:

im qettinq thisz in quitar center thisz week =]

  • djesco075:

Yes I.T.C.H. has a record feature

  • lildukeman:

I’m new to the NS7. Can I record my scratching and put it on a mixtape?

  • djesco075:

The Hercules RMX is great. Especially with VDJ 6. I love it beacuse I can hop on a plane and do my remixes in a professional manner (and record it).
If you are a serious Club DJ or pro, semi or other (even a n00b) and demand the professional look and feel of vinyl I would say “break your piggy bank and get an NS7″. Check it out first hand your local Guitar Center should have one. This way you see first hand if this is what you want to get in to.

  • IMKENSHAW:

esco im a complete noob but im about as passionate as they come…ive been using traktor pro and am ready for my first controller and i was deadset on the hercules rmx but im pretty sure in the near future im going to need to step it up to something like this..should i learn on the rmx and go from there or save up a little longer and get the ns7?

  • FOXENFNT:

No effects? Does anyone know if its possible to add effects through serato itch? Id be looking for a flange and roll feature.

  • djesco075:

    LOL Thanks
