Artwork from Todays (Saturday,August 23,2008) Farmers Market in downtown Modesto California. In the video there are lots pictures of half of all the work Ghazi Assaker has done. And also, in the video when mentioned “No Tools used” We meant no Power tools. He only uses his hands in all his art. No Gimmicks! Some Information about the artist: Ghazi was born in lebenon, Beruit. He grew up learning how to hammer copper and carve wood. Ghazi moved to Chicago in the 70′s with his wife Evlin. He than began working on his masterpieces, Ghazi is one of a kind. His art is very rare and hard to do, with so many techniques to it.

This is a sheath I made for my Dad’s old Puukko, which I made with his and my friend Al’s help out of a small piece of Kwila wood, the remainder of which we brought back from the mission field when I was little. Most of the credit for this should go to Al, for without him I could never have done so well. Aside from using chisels/gouges, countersink, brushes, rags and a vise, we worked at his shop and used the following power tools: bandsaw, table saw, jointer, router (I think), drill press, belt sander and vibrating sander. The glueing, drying, finishing and leatherworking was done by hand. After using gel stain on it, I gave it a good handrubbed finish of neatsfoot oil for several days and then coated it with Howard’s Beeswax and Orange Oil sealer for a high sheen and protective layer. Music is “Das Tor” by Faun. Stop by their website and see their great CDs! www.faune.de Thanks for watching! PMZ
