I want to start rapping, I have a MIDI mic, but i want a good sounding drum machine where I can put in bass synth sounds and scratching sounds. Im kinda going for a Kottonmouth King hidden stash 2 type music sound.

Ive been looking at the Alesis sr 18, but the reviews on that is 50/50, what do you guys suggest as far as digital recorders and drum machines?
