Any comments on the new tz10?
I open the footage in After Things or Premiere Pro on the Mac. I know VLC player can also convert the footage so maybe try that for a cheap and free method.
How do u convert the footage to an editble format?!

The TZ7 though is fine for me for now despite it’s small niggles.
I really like this record. Can you compare this camera with the newer panasonic lumix dmc- zr1. I’ve heard the record quality on the newer zr1 is really worse than the record quality on this camera. I’am debating on which one I should buy.

I have a TZ7 and agree those things can be annoying, but as you said if you get round them it can be very excellent. Ive uploaded some of my vidoes to youtube with some reasonable results.
