@Stratomacaster You’d be surprised at how excellent that mic sounds just flat. It’s pretty fool proof tone wise, but feedback can be an issue in larger/louder venues.

@guitmusic1 The DPA 4099 is certainly in my price array… the excellent sound man but… not so much. Guess I’ll have to make due with the trial and error technique.

@Stratomacaster I am using a DPA 4099. It is a clip on hyper cardioid condenser microphone. So far I have been pretty pleased with it, especially w/ a excellent sound man.
