    I’m an amateur in a camera club and you clarified it better than they did. Thanks. We slowed down the shutter while cars went by and got a cool effect with the head/tail lights. When you slowed the shutter to get the detail in the background, did you still use the flash or were you using just the lighting or both?

    Thanks Mark. I have been buying and reading tons of books but could not get what u were saying. The demo helped bring it home. I am just culture. This is my first camera. I have a Canon Powershot si10. It has a removable lens and I bought a tripod. The manual is not that fantastic.

    Very nice tutorials! Awesome! Clearly clarified and very practically focused

    The principle is exactely the same but the build in flash does not always perform optiamlly and throws around superfluous or too low light! So if you want to stay in control you wil have to work with your flash exposure compensation (that is the intensity if the flash control) in sync with the shutter!
