72 Hour Load Bearing Equipment 2/3

In thіѕ series I wіll ѕhοw уου a modified version οf thе US issue LC-2 LBE (load bearing equipment). Thіѕ system іѕ specifically setup аѕ a 72 hour survival kit tο bе used аѕ іѕ lacking thе addition οf a backpack. Thіѕ system іѕ designed tο bе survival / evasion type gear, NOT a traditional tactical type system. Thіѕ kit іѕ more οf a bare bones kit mainly consisting οf essentials tο hеlр one person fοr 1 tο 3 days οn thе gο. It іѕ designed tο bе a lightweight, mobile, аnd adaptable solution tο carrying elemental gear іn thе field. Thіѕ system іѕ аlѕο a perfect setup fοr day hiking. Record 2 οf 3.

i to have the wisp brushes and you dont not need to add water it even says it on the back so that is a plus

It’s not a matter of weather you like guns. It’s just another piece of de rigueur equipment like your water filter or first aid kit. I don’t look forward to having to sterilize a wound and scrap it up but if I need it I’ll carry it. above and beyond in a disaster and you were carrying all that de rigueur gear all the unprepared people around you would want you to share it with them. As they say “Lack of Schooling on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part.

  • Tnuggz420:

what if the other person has a gun.

  • 0122358:

is it nessesary? its our god given right as americans to own one!

  • Zachman1124:

uggg… I don’t really like guns, is it unquestionably neccasary to get one? I just am not a very violent person against other humans. ( I don’t want to hear ” you’re gonna have to defend yourself ” ) I don’t plot on acting or being hostile, if someone during an emergency situation wants me to backoff, well I’m gone then I’ll just turn around and walk off. as for someone attacking me ( there is a knife… )

if that rice is not cooked your going to need ALOT of wasted water and the 5 hour energy NO just NO im not going to give a speach

  • mnhvide:

  • digitalX198:

get the Mainstay 3600 Calorie Food Pack for a better 72 hour food supply.

  • Thaddeus211:

Be careful on what you eat. You need a lot of water to administer power bar/ cliff bar type food. When moving quickly you also will burn twice the amount of calories. excellent record

  • joshxxt:

fantastic pack. wouldnt trust the 5 hour energy.. that stuff can send you to the hospital.

  • unclearless:

Fantastic stuff. I was wondering if you would reflect it a excellent thought to laminate your military survival manual, so you could read it in the rain? Also the map? If it is a terrible thought in your opinion, please let me know why. Ty. 5/5. ~Kev~

The fantastic thing about this type of setup is you can easily sling a rifle over the suspenders vs a large backpack.
When it gets cooler out do you add on a poncho liner to this kit, or go with a full on pack instead? (I have a Wiggy’s poncho liner, it is very warm and pretty light, and very moisture resistant)
I’m trying to work out a LC-2 suspender and belt right now, but the suspenders itch!

MRE’s are heavy, bulky, and expensive.

for a BOB Food is really your last priority, some quick energy is all you need.

  • resadrianlk:

Thank you, hopefully I find one at the book store.

  • PackRat556:

I am not sure. I cannot remember where I got my copy. I have had it for quite some time. I believe you can download it from the internet and print it for free. Also, any army surplus store in your area should certainly carry it. Excellent luck!

  • PackRat556:

You could. I used to use MRE’s all the time but I have lost my taste for them somewhat and they are not as readily available. They have also become very expensive as well about $8.00 per meal when I can find them in my area. This is an alternative that is much cheaper and is readily available from my local grocery store. I would recommend for people to use what they feel the most comfortable with, as both are excellent options. Thank you for watching and sharing this!

  • sammy789987:

what about instead of all tuna, rice, granola, and cliff bars….why dont you subsitute that for milatary MRE’s and cliff/granola bars as extras

  • resadrianlk:

Can you buy that book at any book store?

Suggestion regarding the capture wire you spoke of: Go to a sporting goods store fishing dept. & buy a 50′ roll of 50lb test braided wire & and matching ferrules. Now pre-fab various sized snares by simply cold different lengths of wire & making loops on each end of the wire. Simply thread one end through the other & you have a slip loop. Secure the free end and you have a capture. I have 50 of them in my kit & they take no space. The more u use, the better your opportunity of eating din-din.
